Learning Commons - We are in the process of transforming our library into a Learning Commons! This will involve the library being reconfigured into space that will be utilized for project work and flexible learning space.Watch for their garden to take shape around the sign in front of the school! Their project has covered outcomes in science, language arts and math. They have taken it upon themselves to find ways to incorporate plants in our school. Grade 1 Beautification project - While studying their science unit, Needs of Plants and Animals, Miss Read’s grade 1 class expressed a concern that our school does not have enough plant life.Additionally, our Powwow drum group will be taking their skills on the road to perform at the Ermineskin Year-End Powwow on June 19. There will be a celebration at the school which will include a give-away. Our dedicated dancers have been hard at work under the direction of Miss Klinger and Miss Reti to prepare for their performance. ![]() Aboriginal Day performances - With Aboriginal Day approaching, several students from grades one to six have joined together to create a uniques dance experience that blends Aboriginal culture with pop culture.The labor will be getting underway shortly and we look forward to seeing the space change into a usable learning environment. Students have submitted design proposals, developed a budget for supplies and considered various plant characteristics in their planning. This project is cross-curricular and is meeting outcomes in science, math and language arts.
